Matching sets: check the top and bottom separately

A set labelled M may fit your top half differently from your bottom half. Read both size charts before choosing the combined option, then find out whether the listing sells a fixed set, allows separate selections or offers the pieces individually.

One option can contain two fit decisions

One option can contain two fit decisions

Write down the top's chest and body length, then the bottom's waist, rise and inseam. Compare each with a similar garment you already own. Do not let a comfortable hoodie measurement distract you from pants that are much narrower than your reference pair.

Consider this fictional set chart, with all measurements in centimetres:

Combined optionTop flat chestTop lengthPants flat waistPants inseam
M56683672
L59713975

If the top measurements you want are near M but your preferred pants measurements are near L, there is a genuine mismatch. Choosing L may solve one part while giving you a wider, longer top. The chart does not tell you that mixing M and L is available.

Read the selection controls literally

A single size selector generally describes the offered combined option; separate top and bottom selectors provide more detail. Check the item wording and order summary rather than inferring flexibility from a picture showing two pieces.

Oopbuy's buying guidance distinguishes colour, size and quantity selection. If the imported option does not clearly describe which sizes are included, resolve the ambiguity before submission. For an existing order, its Order Inquiry is the place for an order-specific question; a note on an independent sheet does not change the seller's options.

Three choices when the charts disagree

  • Choose a fixed size only if both pieces suit the fit you want.
  • If separate sizes are explicitly offered, check the selected top and bottom in the summary.
  • If pieces are available separately, compare their combined amount and included items with the set price.

Do not assume a written request guarantees a mixed-size set. Ask for confirmation of the exact top and bottom sizes where the available option is unclear.

Check that it is actually a set

Some pictures show a complete outfit while the selected option buys only a top or only pants. Use bundle and quantity checks to identify the unit of sale before comparing the price.

Then browse sets with two fit references, not one usual size. For deeper measurements, use tops and pants separately.
