Oopbuy payment methods: match the method to the payment stage
Before choosing how to pay, identify what the payment will do: add Oopbuy balance, pay for goods or settle parcel freight. Method names alone do not answer that question. Compare the currency, destination of the money and confirmation for the specific payment screen you are using.
Recharge, order payment and a payment plan are different contextsRecharge, order payment and a payment plan are different contexts
Oopbuy's top-up guidance describes Wise recharge with currency-specific recipient details and PayPal recharge in a USD conversion context. Its separate Klarna guidance discusses checkout plans with account and eligibility conditions. These are not interchangeable instructions for every purchase.
| Context | What to read before confirming | Confirmation to match afterwards |
|---|---|---|
| Wise recharge | Selected currency and current recipient details | Transfer reference and matching account credit |
| PayPal recharge | Provider debit currency, conversion and displayed fees | Provider transaction and Oopbuy credit |
| Goods or parcel payment | Which order or shipment the payment covers | The corresponding payment or balance deduction |
| Klarna checkout | Available plan, eligibility and schedule | Provider order and actual payment schedule |
The methods offered to you can depend on the current checkout and your account. This is a way to interpret those choices, not a live availability list.
With Wise, the currency is part of the recipient check
Do not reuse recipient details from an earlier transfer simply because it also funded Oopbuy. The top-up guidance explicitly distinguishes recipient information by currency. Obtain the current instructions through your own Oopbuy payment flow and compare the currency before proceeding.
Retain the transfer reference, amount, currency and date alongside the intended recharge. If the provider shows completion but the balance has not appeared, those fields help identify the transfer that needs checking. A goods-order screenshot alone does not identify a missing recharge.
This publisher does not supply bank details or receive account funding.
With PayPal, compare currencies before comparing numbers
A debit in one currency and an Oopbuy credit in another cannot be compared by subtraction. Identify any provider conversion and separately displayed recharge charge, then match the credited amount. The PayPal conversion guide walks through that distinction without treating a recharge fee as an extra charge on every item.
For Klarna, inspect your actual plan rather than treating all instalment products as one offer. A return request and a provider payment schedule need separate attention; see Klarna and refunds.
Once funding arrives, follow recharge versus order payment to distinguish the new balance from money already spent on goods or freight.
