Oopbuy storage: check which clock applies to your item
Do not start a storage countdown from the day you paid. Oopbuy's normal storage and abnormal or unmatched-parcel rules use different starting conditions. Find the item's status and matching order first, then check its deadline before deciding to leave it in the warehouse.
Normal storage and unmatched parcels have different clocksNormal storage and unmatched parcels have different clocks
| Situation | Published starting point | Published period | Reminder boundary |
|---|---|---|---|
| Normal purchasing or forwarding storage | Order status becomes Received | 90 days | The storage guidance describes an approaching-expiry email |
| Abnormal or unmatched parcel | Signed-for status | 30 days | No reminder can be sent when the parcel cannot be matched to an order and user |
A courier's delivery scan and your account's Received status are not interchangeable dates. If a parcel has been signed for but does not appear under the expected order, resolve that mismatch instead of assuming the normal 90-day clock applies.
Keep the seller's dispatch reference, warehouse delivery date and intended order together when raising the question. Check your account even if no email has arrived; an unmatched parcel is precisely the case where a reminder may be impossible.
The Storage guidance says normal items left beyond 90 days without a parcel submission or feedback may be treated as abandoned and disposed of. For unmatched parcels, it describes disposal after the separate 30-day period. Resolve the affected item's deadline before relying on an extension.
An extension is not unlimited renewal
Oopbuy's storage guidance describes a ¥10 extension for 30 days. Its customized-storage guidance adds the limit: one extension, with 120 days total storage. That guidance describes the item moving from In Stock to Expired after the initial period, and to Abandoned beyond the maximum, with disposal possible.
Read the fee, eligibility and maximum period together. Paying once is not permission to renew indefinitely, and an extension for normal storage should not be assumed to apply to an abnormal unmatched parcel. Confirm the available action on the affected order before relying on extra time.
Storage also does not extend the shelf life of a perishable item. A warehouse allowance and a product's usable life answer different questions.
Can you transfer a stored item elsewhere?
Do not count a transfer as an automatic way to avoid expiry. First ask whether the specific item can be moved, what destination and handling conditions apply, and whether the movement can be completed before the current deadline. A request for a transfer is not proof that the item has left storage or that its clock has reset.
No universal transfer entitlement or step-by-step account procedure is assumed here.
If the status or order match is unclear, use order status meanings to frame the account question. If you are waiting because the item may need returning, check return eligibility now: a long storage allowance is not a long return window.
