Oopbuy refund to balance: follow the seller's refund to your account
A seller accepting a return is earlier than money appearing in your Oopbuy balance. Follow the order's release conditions, then match the credit to the correct transaction. This helps separate an unfinished return from a completed account refund—and both from money received by your bank.
The release point depends on the order stateThe release point depends on the order state
Oopbuy's named After-sales flow describes refunds to account balance. For an unpurchased cancellation, there is no returned-item journey to follow. For a Purchased order that has not been dispatched, seller confirmation is part of the refund process. For a Stored item sent back, the seller must receive it and refund Oopbuy before that flow credits your balance.
| Stage of a stored-item return | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Seller agrees to the return | The return is accepted; money has not necessarily moved |
| Return tracking appears on the order | The item has a return-shipment reference |
| Seller receives the returned item | Receipt is established; refund confirmation is a separate step |
| Refund is released | Check its amount and stated destination |
| Matching balance credit appears | The account has received that credit |
A return tracking update is useful for locating the unfinished step. It does not, on its own, prove that the seller has issued the refund.
Match the credit, not just the new balance
Illustration only: your balance is CNY 40 and a CNY 120 goods refund arrives, with no other movements. The new balance is CNY 160. The refund is CNY 120, not CNY 160.
If parcel freight is also being adjusted, compare the descriptions and references. A shipping adjustment can increase balance without being a goods refund. Likewise, new purchases can reduce the visible balance after a refund has already arrived.
Balance and bank receipt are different outcomes
The After-sales sequence above describes account credit. Oopbuy's separate Returns FAQ also refers to bank-card refunds, so do not assume one destination for every refund type. Check the destination stated for your actual case and ask Oopbuy to clarify it if the confirmation is ambiguous.
A positive balance is not proof of a withdrawal. If you want funds returned outside Oopbuy, confirm whether withdrawal is available for that balance, the permitted destination, any conditions and the actual transaction status. This guide does not provide a universal withdrawal path or receipt deadline.
For money that remains in the account, recharge versus order payment explains how credits and deductions fit together. If the original purchase used Klarna, also check the provider schedule; an Oopbuy entry alone does not confirm that it has changed.
